DBSA's Facing Us Music Contest
With Awards

DBSA is hosting a FacingUs 2008 Music Contest.  Audio clip submissions will be accepted from July 4 - September 1, 2008.  Online voting will be held September 8 - October 1, 2008.  Songs must be original work, written and performed by the artist.  Entrants must self-identify as having/had a lived experience with depression or bipolar disorder.
 
Prizes = 1st place is $900.00; 2nd place is $600.00; and 3rd place is $300.00.  Winners will also be featured on a compilation CD and FacingUs.org

DBSA's National Annual Conferene

DBSA held their annual convention from September 12 - September 13 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Kay Redfield Jamison, PhD was one of the many speakers present at the conference that attracted over 300 people.

Following the conference, a Chapter Leadership Forum was held for over 90 people.
